Active Ride Shop filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last Friday. They have moved in on many other shops and were dropping stores everywhere. You move in close to Street Machine, Jack's, HSS, ZJ's Boarding House, Liberty Boardshop, and other good shops and Karma is going to kick you in the ass. With that being the case, Zumiez still intends to open 37 more stores this year. Could their time be comin? The big guys are falling!

Our friends Isaac, Eric, Keiko and John are having a follow up show to their Almost Famous show at the First Amendmant Gallery on March 28. The 1st show was amazing and it will be great to see more collaborative works from these four great artists. Although you may not be familiar with the names, rest assured you have seen their art on Cal Surf skateboards and on the side of the shop. Make sure to come out and support!

Here is another premium collaboration from L.A. skate shop Brooklyn Projects, as they have teamed up with Nike SB to release the Halo Dunk Low. Halo refers to the official color scheme on the shoe, which is Halo/Zitron, but I would argue that it’s the six different colors on the upper of this sneaker and a gum outsole that actually really helps bring all the colors together. Look for these to drop at skate shops and SB retailers in March.

Brother Ali is back in the dropping heat game with a new release to hold over fans tell he comes out with his next full length project. It will be available this tuesday and if his last two albums are a sign of Ali's musical progression, fans are sure to be feeling this contribution.
